Our
ancient shredder was just a ribbon shredder, and a pitiful 5 sheets at a
time (albeit 5 sheets would get stuck, the motor would overheat, etc).
We had been delaying cleaning our filing cabinets because of our pitiful
modest beast. We shredded 3 garbage bags of stuff the first weekend,
and this shredder is subdue going strong. The cuttings are small and the
basket holds a LOT of shredding. We are very pleased with this
shredder, as the blades are STILL sharp after all the abuse we place it
owing to in the first few days. The blades are more of a die cut than
traditional blades, and they make small work of any job. The shredder is
less noisy than our ancient one, and credit cards and CDs really get
ruined well. Competing web retailers were nearly twice the price for a
akin product.Be grateful you amazon!

After
cleaning out my files archive, I had a large stack of ancient private
ID that I needed to shred. I opted for a cross-cut shredder to hopefully
minimize the chance that any identifying information would subdue be
legible.I was adequately satisfied with the speed and ease this shredder was able to chew up my ancient financial ID and credit cards. I even tested an ancient CD and it sliced it up lacking a hassle. After a modest over a months use, I find for myself using this shredder on a weekly basis to shred up those dumb offers credit card companies send you, and it works well enough. So far I haven’t had any jams or anything, but my usage is light. But, one protest I have is that for whatever reason, possibly because of where I store my shredder (under my desk, subject to me kicking it), when I go to use it, I find the “misalignment” light is on, requiring me to remove the shredder from the basket and then place it back on. Its not a huge hassle, though, and it always functions when I need it to work. Overall I’m satisfied with the quality of this shredder and I’m glad amazon offers quality products at affordable prices. |
